**On a Personal Note**

Yesterday was a significant day for me as I had surgery to remove my thyroid. Nearly a year has gone by since this ordeal began and now I’m getting the treatment I need. I hope a more normal existence awaits me.

Here’s a glimpse into my fibery activities: I joined Summer Lee’s Colorwork Cuff Club (CCC) last August. Each month, she sends out colorwork cuff patterns. Here are my August Socks!

I have made significant strides with my mustard yellow Frankenstein Cardigan project. I just need to finish the collar (shown above).

As we cuddle under blankets with books and/or knitting needles in hand, the act of creating something beautiful mirrors the themes of perseverance and connection found in these novels.
