Dear Coterie,
I hope you are healthy and well. As summer comes to a close, September signifies the beginning of the autumn knitting season. I am sharing my exciting progress on my latest knitting projects.

Firstly, I am thrilled to announce that my Habitat cardigan is finally complete. This cozy sweater will undoubtedly become my go-to choice for curling up on those cold winter days.

In addition, I unexpectedly started working on the Ranunculus Sweater by Midori Hirose. Although I deviated from the pattern using chunky weight yarn instead of lace to worsted weight, I am incredibly pleased with the outcome. I now understand why this project has a devoted following, and I’m considering creating a lighter version with short sleeves using DK yarn.

While my Langley Sweater is still in progress, I needed instant gratification and palate cleansers. I’ve been creating lacy hair bandanas, Tunisian crochet towels, and washcloths. Completing Mr. V’s socks and making chunky baskets also satisfied me. Additionally, I couldn’t resist making the Classic Crochet Bunny by One Dog Woof, as its cuteness and squishiness were irresistible. Now, I need to find the perfect recipient for it.
Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a challenge with the crochet Leona sweater. The pattern isn’t quite making sense to me, so I’ve had to make some adjustments to proceed. It’s testing my skills, but I’m determined to overcome it.
I’ve been taking classes on editing. I absorb information better when my hands are occupied, so these projects have been a perfect fit. However, the course requires significant time, leaving little for actual writing. Nonetheless, I’m thoroughly enjoying the knowledge I’m gaining and hope to emerge as a better, more diligent editor.
September has been an eventful month, filled with the satisfaction of finishing beautiful knitting projects, classes that helped me broaden my authoring skill set, and new projects that push the envelope as a crocheter. I can’t wait to share more progress updates and stories in future updates.
