SendInBlue VS SendFox

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

Created with Sketch.

Over the years, I’ve tried several email marketing providers. So for fairness’ sake, I will only be reviewing Sendfox and SendInBlue as those are the ones I’ve used for Lady V Writes.

Sendfox

Pros of SendFox

  • Easy Setup: SendFox makes it easy to get started with its intuitive interface and user-friendly dashboard. You’ll be able to set up a campaign in minutes and get your content out to your audience quickly.
  • Automation Tools: SendFox offers powerful automation tools that can help you streamline your workflow, including automated segmentation and personalized email sequences. This makes it easier to target your content to the right users and keep them engaged.
  • Integrations: SendFox has many useful integrations that make connecting with other apps and services accessible. For example, you can easily connect SendFox with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or any third-party service.
  • Smart Campaigns: You can link to your blog, social media accounts, podcast, or youtube channel to generate an email campaign.
  • Reliable Delivery: SendFox ensures that your emails are delivered quickly and reliably, so you can be sure that your messages will reach your audience.

Cons of SendFox

  • Limited Templates: SendFox does not offer a lot of pre-made templates for creating emails. You may want to use another software if you need many templates.
  • Limited Analytics: SendFox’s analytics are limited compared to other services. You’ll only be able to track the number of opens and clicks, and there are no advanced metrics such as time on page or social media engagement.
  • No Social Media Integration: SendFox has no integrations with social media platforms, meaning you won’t be able to post your emails to your social media accounts automatically.

SendInBlue

Sendinblue is an email marketing platform businesses use to reach various customers. It offers a range of features that help companies to create and manage marketing campaigns, including email automation, segmentation, and integration with other business tools. Here are some of the pros and cons of Sendinblue:

Pros

  • Easy to use: Sendinblue has an intuitive user interface that makes it easy to get started with email marketing campaigns.
  • Affordable: The platform offers a wide range of pricing plans, starting at just $20/month.
  • Integration with other tools: Sendinblue integrates with popular tools like Salesforce, Shopify, WordPress, and Zapier.
  • Automation options: The platform offers powerful features like welcome emails, abandoned cart messages, and customer behavior tracking.

Cons

  • Limited reporting and analytics: While Sendinblue offers basic reporting features, it needs more detailed analytics. I found the analytics to be enough for my needs.
  • Poor customer support: Customer reviews indicate that the platform’s customer support is generally poor. This was something I noticed in reviews but have not experienced myself.
  • Throttling on the free plan: I did not move up a tier as I was well below the 300 subs when I used the service.

SendInBlue and SendFox are email marketing automation platforms that offer a wide range of features to help you manage your campaigns. Both platforms provide features such as contact management, email list creation and segmentation, email automation, analytics, and more.

SendInBlue offers more comprehensive features, including an in-depth analytics section, a mobile app, and a powerful landing page builder. It also provides more customization options for email campaigns, allowing users to set up triggers, A/B testing, and more. The automations of both providers are adequate for creating a thorough onboarding sequence.

SendFox, on the other hand, is a more straightforward platform targeted toward users who want to get started quickly. It offers fewer features than SendInBlue but is still a powerful tool for email marketing management. It also provides a free plan, so it’s an excellent option for businesses on a budget.

I used SendInBlue for a long time but couldn’t integrate with anything I used except WordPress, which meant if I collected emails through Bookfunnel or StoryOrigin, I had to download the data to a CSV file and then upload it into SendInBlue. I loved the variety of templates you could create. Every day I would get a notice informing me that: “I reached my hourly SMTP quota for sending transactional and automation emails in Sendinblue. This quota is implemented to ensure that you and other Sendinblue users maintain a good sender reputation with email providers.” This happens every day, whether I’m sending a newsletter or not. I’ve learned to ignore it. However, because of its integration with shopping sites, it would be better for businesses with stores or shops rather than WordPress blogs.

Sendfox does not have the number of templates that Sendinblue does, but it has an option on the Enterprise level to create with HTML. This works for me as my degree is in software engineering, but I found the templates provided to be adequate for someone who isn’t interested in coding a newsletter. I’ve only bought the lifetime tier and can upgrade to enterprise later, but I have yet to see the need to do so.

Two things that inspired me to switch to Sendfox were their pricing tier structure. They had the best deal for the 2022 holidays. I bought a tier 5 lifetime plan which allows up to 25000 subs for 245 bucks. There is no monthly or yearly commitment. This plan will likely keep up with me for a while. Second, they integrate with the places where I collect subscribers. Bookfunnel, StoryOrigin, and others. It’s only recently that SendInBlue has combined with Bookfunnel.

My only issues with Sendfox were the need for templates and their integration with WordPress is hit or miss depending on how customized your site is.

Ultimately, the decision between SendInBlue and SendFox depends on your needs. If you are looking for an easy way to get started with email marketing, then SendFox may be your best option. However, if you need more features and customization options, then SendInBlue is likely the better choice.

SendFox is an affordable solution with plans that start at just $9 per month. It offers a range of features, including unlimited lists, contacts, emails, and more. It also offers a free plan that provides basic features, allowing users to send up to 2000 emails per month.

SendInBlue, on the other hand, has a more robust pricing structure, offering tiered plans that start at $25 per month. Its primary program provides more features than SendFox, including advanced automation capabilities, unlimited contacts, and more. It also offers a free plan but limits users to 300 emails per day.

Overall, SendFox is the better option for those on a tight budget, while SendInBlue is the better option for those needing more advanced features.
