I love fractals because they remind me of a fantasy place. But the real magic of fractals is that they do exist naturally in our world. Ok, I admit I wanted to use this picture somewhere because it’s so awesome. I’m supposed to be revealing some inside info on the book I’m currently working on. Right now, I don’t have a name for it, and I’ve been calling it UFB1 or Unnamed Fantasy Book 1 (sorry, the programmer in me still wants names that make sense).

Welcome to the World of Illia, where everyone and everything has innate magic. The Gods bestowed magic upon the land and its people. The people revered the Gods for the gift of magic. After The Great War, the Gods separated themselves from the people, questioning whether they still existed. Science/Alchemy fell out of favor because magic can fix almost anything except death.
