What my workspace looks like…

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

My desk… it’s interesting how we use our desks. I’ll be honest, it looks nothing like what it used to when I first got my rig.

I admit my set-up isn’t typical. I have a sit stand desk on casters and a chair and a half so I can sit cross-legged and not have to drop my feet down. This means I move my desk out and my chair never moves. I’ve had comments that it is strange, but for me it works. My legs swell in the typical desk chair situation. I sit up straighter sitting this way and I’m super comfortable.

It’s much more lived in, and in fact I rarely sit anywhere else in the house other than my desk. I have worn out my desk chair. I do almost everything at my desk. Including my nails every two weeks or so. I take meals here when Mr. V is gone.

Here is what my desk looked like right after setting up…

I’ve made some changes. The monitors are now on hanging arms. I actually am good about keeping my dishes off it. When I head downstairs at the end of the night, I take any dishes with me and usually check at least once a day to ensure there is no garbage. I have a vanity but often take my hair down at my desk so there is a plethora of hair elastics and bobby pins which I do clean up when I go to bed.

Long story short… I live at my desk.
