The first thing I realized about this book was that it was a different type of book. We’ve had books where you go back in time, recalling memories or a character dreaming of the past. Both of these things happen here but also there are new characters brought in which live in… different time periods. With differing origins, all circling and endlessly being pulled toward a dark, magical black hole. It was riveting I didn’t know from one chapter to the next if it was going to be about a character I had already met or someone new. who was inextricably bound to the others in some way.

My favorite characters are Shadow, Morgana, Fayth, and Nathaniel. Morgan can be particularly dark and creepy with her spells.

This fabulously twisted fantasy was something that I could not put down. I had to note as well the cover is absolutely gorgeous.
