How to Make Spaghetti Arrabbiata at Home

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

For a simple yet intensely flavored pasta meal, spaghetti arrabbiata is a top contender. This classic Italian recipe combines simple pantry staples and spaghetti into a vibrant sauce that’s fiery, aromatic, and satisfying. The name “arrabbiata” means “angry” in Italian, a fitting nod to the sauce’s lively heat. The beauty of this dish is that it can be adjusted to suit your spice preferences.

In less than 30 minutes, you can create a restaurant-worthy meal that feels both rustic and comforting. With just a few quality ingredients and a little technique, you can transform everyday pasta into something memorable.

My picture is not as pretty as the other one but it was tasty as heck.

I had never heard of spaghetti arrabbiata until I watched James Delmage make it on YouTube. My recipe wasn’t the same as his. I couldn’t find the jarred cherry peppers he used. Instead, I added some extra hot pepper flakes to make up the difference (I hope). I look forward to trying it again after a trip to the city to get the peppers. My picture is not as pretty as the other one but it was tasty as heck. This spicy, flavorful pasta was a hit with my family and hopefully yours too.
