Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

Dear Coterie,

I hope you are doing well. I’m delighted to share with you the third of our author swaps this April.

Maddie Wallace spent her childhood in foster care, dreaming of a bright future that starkly contrasts her challenging early years. Now, she’s on the verge of achieving her ideal life. A life she has envisioned through countless internet and magazine images, complete with the family she hopes to build with her almost-fiancé, Tucker. To make her dreams come true, all she needs to do is prepare the perfect Christmas Eve dinner to prompt his proposal. The only problem? She has no cooking skills whatsoever.

Her solution? Attend a Christmas auction to buy the charming Chef Joe Milano, who will teach her the culinary skills she needs. He seems perfect in every way, including attributes she hadn’t expected.

Joe was happy to share his expertise to help Maddie with her special dinner. However, he is surprised by her complete lack of cooking ability—she can’t even boil water without setting it on fire! The biggest twist comes when Joe realizes that Maddie, who is almost engaged, is his soulmate. How can he help her prepare a meal designed to win over another man when he’s the one who truly wants her? Unbeknownst to Maddie, he is her Christmas wish, and he intends to show her that true perfection isn’t in magazines. It’s a passionate Italian chef with all the right elements.
