Knit, Purl, and Prose – February 2025

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

Created with Sketch.

As I pen this in January, I have to admit it hasn’t been the clean break from 2024 I hoped it would be. There have unresolved things that need to be dealt with. A sense of responsibility has tempered and my feeling of hope to deal with those things.

I’m still not feeling like myself as I work to figure out what the new me is supposed to feel like. So, I’ve been wanting to listen to books and knit as of late. New book reviews will come soon.

Once I finished up my Salty Days Sweater, I started the Weronkia by Aleksandra Sołowianiuk. For some inexplicable reason, I find myself strangely compelled to focus on just one knitting project, resisting the urge to start others despite many tempting possibilities that have crossed my path. I’m working to make this my best fitting sweater ever learning how to do horizontal bust darts. I’ve done vertical before, but I want to home in on how to shaping.

As I was finishing all my social media work for the month, I got sick. Who knew that a visit to the hairdresser was gonna ruin my week? I’m still sick as I sit here writing this, but I’m also highly medicated (I might not be responsible for what comes out of my mouth next).

I hope by the time this post publishes to be elbow deep in the first edit of “A Four-way Love Affair.” My goal is to publish this standalone contemporary romance by the last quarter of the year.
