Spooktacular October: Reflection on the Month’s Exciting Events

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

Created with Sketch.

As October comes to a close, I wanted to give a quick update on things. I’m writing this ahead of time as always, so there are no updates on my health, as I’m still biding my time to see the surgeon. However, I have more fun things to share, fermented drinks and yarny adventures.

I just looked through my round-up posts and I haven’t done a fibery round up since May. So here goes.

Finished Objects:

My knee high boot socks. I’m so happy these are now finished for this winter. I hope to wear them when snowshoeing.

My striped mojo socks. They fit perfectly and the colors….

New cast-ons:

Mustard Cardigan- I started this wanting to have another cardi for the house to grab and throw on during the winter. I took two patterns and combine them to create this Franken Cardi.

Hand-dyed Salty Day Sweater- I bought undyed yarn for this project because I couldn’t decide what color I wanted. I finally made a choice and I love it.

CCC August Socks- The colorwork cuff club is one of the cutest clubs I’ve ever joined. Started by Summer Lee at Summer Lee Designs, you pay twelve dollars and get a new colorwork cuff to try for the next twelve months.

Camisole no 9- I’ve been thinking about undergarments a lot and wanted a tank to could layer under winter things but also could stand on its own. This classic styled tank seems to fit the bill.

Frogged:

Jay sweater: I loved the sweater but the colors on me, not so much. I’m thinking about over dying the yarn into something more wearable for me.

2nd Poppy Tee- I’m having two issues with this project right now. The color feels off on me and the size is too large. Should I frog or not? Tell me your thoughts.
