The passing of yet another month prompts me to share an update on the events and developments that have unfolded in my life. To be straightforward, I have been unwell since the beginning of February. I thought it was just age-related. But I found out I have thyroid cysts and need surgery.

Since all my biopsies came back as benign or inconclusive, my doctor is highly confident that removing my thyroid will be a problem-free surgery. Getting an appointment with the surgeon has proven to be a challenge, as the earliest available date is in October. Since the surgery is scheduled to take place towards the end of the year, I have taken some time to regroup and plan for the upcoming year when I can focus on publishing.

Because of the seriousness of the situation and the fact that I am not feeling my usual energetic self, I have taken a break from editing. I’m still writing but I will not be pushing myself to publish this year. Next month I hope to give a more yarny update. I have several things on the needles and made some interesting discoveries about color that might be helpful to others.
