Monthly Round up for July

Exploring Relationships, Love, and Life

Created with Sketch.

I had big plans to finish the rebrand and start writing another get back to what I love the most—writing books. I got sick and then sicker because I pushed myself. Finally, Mr. V sat me down and told me I needed a break. Too many things were on my plate, and my self-care and health were taking a backseat to everything else. This is an ongoing theme for me. I do well for a while then I revert to my workaholic ways.

I’m unsure what I picked up, but we’d gone out to dinner one night, and my stomach was a mess. So I puttered around the house doing the bare minimum, worked on knitting or crocheting, and wrote a fanfiction that had been a bug in my ear.

Here’s what I had going on:

  1. Rebranding tasks- still going to take a few weeks
  2. re-editing my lead magnet
  3. Yardsale tasks – so much stuff to price
  4. Creating a website for a friend

This is in addition to my regular chores and marketing tasks.

Although I only got a little done on my rebranding and novels, I got plenty of knitting and crocheting done. Experimented with crochet socks and wrote the first draft of a fanfiction.

Before I fell ill, almost everything was completed on my friend’s website. I chose MailChimp for her because she is not tech-savvy, and it integrates email into the website, making it simple to create mailing lists. She also needed an online scheduler and wanted something she could maintain herself. All that’s left to do is teach her how to use it.

I hope, over the next month, to work more on my self-care and get my work-life balance back in order. Do you ever get so busy you forget yourself? How do you handle it? I’m always open to ideas. Please share them in the comments below.
