Every year, I make a new planner with new goals. Planning has been a part of my life since my grade school days. Many of the kids would wait till the last second and dash off a hastily written homework assignment, but I was never that kid. The odd kid out, I was the one who worked ahead because for one, I loved to learn, and, two; I was a bored latch-key child. Sometimes I worked so far ahead on my classes teachers begged me to stop.

I was in complete bliss when trapper keepers came out in the 80s along with scented markers and scratch and sniff stickers. They were the answer to my organization and planning prayers. So were stores like Woolworth’s five and dime for pencils and other supplies for my limited budget.
It pains me to say I spend way too much time working on my planning, but it’s something I also enjoy, so whether I go digital or paper, I won’t be stopping soon.
