Everyone says you should list your goals for the public to see so that you are accountable. To be honest, I’ve been hesitant because I worry about failure. A perfectly normal reaction, I suppose.
However, a new point of view has been rearing its head lately. Even if I fail but still make an effort, it’s progress. I couldn’t tell you how many times I was unable to stop smoking. I got better at it each time. So, although I had to find a method of quitting that worked for me. I got to thinking that maybe that was the approach I needed to take with my goals.
So here goes the goal list:
(in no particular order)
Finish personal cookbook
Publish Deliberate Deception
Finish writing, editing, and publish Abducted.
Complete editing for dragon age origins story
Complete writing for dragon age inquisition story
Complete writing for black desert fanfiction (decided where to end it)
Finish writing for unnamed fantasy story (decided where to end it for a sequel)
Start writing for cheated.
Finish up various knitting and crochet projects.
Stick with new exercise plan (from physical therapy)
Come up with a plan to finish the house and buy an RV
Learn how to do my own nails
That’s all of them I can think of for now. Those are the big goals. Each one is a project that needs to be broken down into parts to be implemented. It’s great to plan (in fact, I love to plan), but you have to follow your plan to make your goals a reality.
What are your goals for this year, big or small? List them in the comments below. Perhaps you have one that I hadn’t thought of that I could add.
